Non-gazetted association of PIMS takes oath

Islamabad: The oath-taking ceremony of the Non-Gazetted Welfare Association of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) held here at the hospital premises.
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Javed Akram administered oath to new office-bearers of the association. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Javed Akram assured employees of solution of their problems.
He said that he had made a request to the Prime Minister for a housing scheme exclusively for the PIMS employees.
Administrator Dr. Altaf Qureshi, chairman of the association Manzar Abbas Naqvi, president Muhammad Hanif and general Tahir Awan also spoke on the occasion.
Muhammad Hanif alleged that ex-body of the association did nothing for meeting demands of non-gazetted employees. He said the last association instead of getting health risk allowance de-frozen agreed on medical allowance thus causing big financial loss to employees.
