Punjab Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal has directed that the ongoing development projects in the province be completed within the stipulated time.
He was chairing a meeting of the Administrative Secretaries' Committee at the Civil Secretaries on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by administrative secretaries of different departments and concerned officers. Matters relating to Annual Development Programme, Citizen Feedback Model, building bylaws and cases of pension and departmental inquiries were discussed in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the chief secretary said that several development projects are under way in the province. Timely completion of these projects is priority of the government, he added. He mentioned that the Citizen Feedback Model is the best source of getting public opinion regarding government institutions. He directed that all possible steps be taken to improve this model, which is helping address people's complaints.
The chief secretary ordered the heads of departments to conduct survey of their buildings for repair and reconstruction work. He directed the authorities to ensure strict implementation of building bylaws. He also ordered early disposal of cases of pension and disciplinary proceedings.
