ISLAMABAD: Election of members to the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) for its next term of five years will be held on December 21, 2015.
Attorney General for Pakistan Salman Aslam Butt, who is also the Returning Officer (RO), announced the programme of the election. As per programme, the letters of proposal/ nomination papers would be deposited in the RO office by December 03-2015 before 2pm.Nomination papers will be scrutinised on December 10 while the date by which a candidate can withdraw his nomination papers has been fixed as December 13, 2015.
According to a press release issued here by Secretary Pakistan Bar Council, Muhammad Arshad Tuesday, the polling will take place on December 21, 2015, and the result of election will be declared on December 31, 2015. It says that the RO office will be the office of the PBC, Supreme Court Building, Constitution Avenue, Islamabad.Similarly, forms of nomination papers can be obtained from office of the PBC, Islamabad, or can be downloaded from its website, says the press release.
