KARACHI: Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Razi Nawab brushed aside top seed Naresh Khatri of India in the first round match of 55-plus singles in the 24th Karachi Club Pakistan ITF Senior World Ranking tennis championship here on Tuesday at Karachi Club.
Razi recorded a convincing 6-2, 6-0 triumph to cruise to the second round.
In 35-plus singles quarter-final, Khanzada Sher Ahmed overpowered Salman Maniya by 7-5, 6-3.
In 45-plus singles quarter-finals, Rashid Malik beat Javed Iqbal by 6-2, 6-4, while Raza Mirza trounced Noorullah Dhanani by 6-0, 6-0.
