With the services of outstanding cricketers at its disposal, it is time for PIA to revive its previous traditions and patronise sports in the same manner that it did before. Sports such as hockey, squash and even youth football need support. At one point, PIA was known for having an outstanding national sports policy. can revive this tradition of promoting sports and sportsmen in a manner that would help the national cause.
If PIA takes this initiative, it will encourage other national institutions to follow suit. Pakistan has enormous potential in the field of sports. It is a treasure that we must not allow to be wasted.
