The closing ceremony of all five Indigenous On-campus Training (IoT) Programs was held at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Wednesday, says a press release.
Registrar NUML Brigadier (r) Aminullah Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony while Director Finance S. Tufail Khalil and IT Director Syed Ali Raza also attended the ceremony. It is pertinent to mention that all five Indigenous On-campus Training Programmes (starting from September 1 to October 29, 2015) were sponsored by Higher Education Commission (HEC) under modern university governance program.
Speaking on the occasion NUML Registrar Brigadier (r) Aminullah said that NUML is committed to professional and academic growth, development of administrative staff especially lower cadre along with faculty and students. He applauded the role of HEC in strengthening the varsities in every respect and said that HEC is doing tremendous job not for higher education but also for the training of the faculty and supporting staff of the universities.
Registrar hoped that HEC will continue its support in sponsoring such training programs in future and under the guidelines of HEC, these trainings would improve the capacity and efficiency of the universities and promote good governance on campuses.
This training was specifically designed for non- academic staff members for the purpose of their capacity building and skills up gradation.Total of 168 staff members of NUML and 11 staff members from other universities from scale 7 to 17 participated in these training sessions.
This training was comprised of two phases the first phase was for governance related training under which three IOT’s were designed and conducted by the following coordinators: Sadia Hashmi, Dr. Faid Gul and Dr. Khushbakht Hina whereas the second phase that was Finance & Auditing comprised of two IoT’s conducted by Ambreen Channa and HinaShahab.
At the end of the closing ceremony the NUM Registrar Brigadier (r) Aminullah Khan distributed the certificates to resource persons, participants and coordinators.
