Punjab PTI organiser Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said the rulers’ politics based on ‘Ghundaism’ is not democracy but dictatorial.
Addressing a local government election candidates' meeting at Chairman Secretariat and speaking to workers after the funeral prayers of party worker Sarfraz Ahmad on Monday, Sarwar said the PML-N would have to mend its ways of silencing its political opponents, otherwise there would be serious repercussions. He said nobody could silence the PTI and it would keep on fighting against the illegal tactics of the PML-N. He said the PTI would strongly contest the local government elections in the next two phases and defeat the PML-N.
He said democracy in the country was now threatened by rulers' ‘Ghundaism’ and the politics of bloodshed. After the declaration of results, he said, the PML-N goons had gone mad and killing PTI workers in Faisalabad, Nankana and Kasur. He held the rulers responsible for the PTI workers' murder and the party would soon hold the incumbent rulers accountable. He said the PTI was ready to fight against the PML-N in the next two phases of local government elections. He said the PTI workers were united under the leadership of Imran Khan and ready to run their election campaign. He said the party's all leaders and workers would enthusiastically participate in the election campaign and disseminate Imran Khan's message at every household. Ch Sarwar urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of irregularities in the local government elections.
