MARDAN: The earthquake-affected people of Garhi Kapoora Doulat Zai and surrounding areas of Mardan district have demanded the federal, provincial governments and the non-governmental organizations to provide them relief and compensation them for losses they have suffered in the horrific earthquake.
The office-bearers and members of the Mashal Welfare Organization Garhi Kapoora Doulat Zai, Mardan including Noor Shed Khan, Hazrat Ali Khan, Junaid Khan, Noorul Amin, Abbas Khan, Khairul Amin, Mujahid Khan, Mirwali Khan, Zubair Khan, Imrad Ali, and general councilors Muhammad Ali, Akhtar Khan, Akbar Khan, Fawad Khan, Kashif Khan and Abdul Raziq Khan along with affected families made the demand as they talked to the media.
The affected people said the earthquake had caused havoc and damaged houses. Boundary walls and roofs of the houses collapsed while a number of houses have developed crackes, added the quake-hit people. The local people said that they were people are in deep trouble and distress due to these losses and needed help.
