The Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration of US embassy held the opening ceremony of Susan B Anthony Reading Room (SBARR) in its library here on Tuesday.
FJWU Vice Chancellor Dr. Samina Amin Qadir and US Embassy Counsellor for Public Affairs Christina Tomlinson inaugurated the reading room. The refurbishment provides additional access to books, magazines, scholarly database, and state-of-the art technology for FJWU faculty and students. The project was made possible by a newly signed three-year agreement between the FJWU and the US Embassy.
The room is a part of US Embassy Islamabad’s network of 17 Lincoln Corners in Pakistan. Lincoln Corners are resource centres and event spaces hosted in partnership with Pakistani libraries, universities and cultural centres. To end up the ceremony, Dr. Samina Amin Qadir shares her views and said “our university is proud to host such a popular place that reflects the sustained collaboration between the FJWU and the US Embassy.
