LAKKI MARWAT: The heads and teachers of public sector schools will launch anti-corruption awareness campaign in their respective institutions to sensitise students to play their role for eradicating the menace from society, stated an official source on Friday.
He said that under the plan, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had decided to raise awareness among people, especially schoolchildren, against the ill effects of corruption. “The NAB has also intensified its efforts to eliminate corruption from society and joined hands with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department,” he added.
He said that the District Education Officer Haziqur Rehman had asked the school bosses to hold anti-corruption walks on quarterly basis and display banners highlighting the message of “Say No to Corruption!” in their respective educational institutions.
The schools principals and headmasters would mark anti-corruption day on December 9 as per the directives issued by the district education department.
