Substandard aircraft

An airline has leased a few aircraft from Russia. I had a chance to travel on them recently. These aircraft were rotten to the core. Their seat covers were torn, dirty and ugly. Besides when I went to the washroom, its tap was dysfunctional. The switch of the pressurised commode was also broken/dysfunctional. So the dirt and tissue papers had piled up.
I also inspected the rear side kitchen of the aircraft. It was smelly and disconcertingly filthy. The irony was that the one-way fare from Islamabad to Karachi was Rs13,600. I wonder how the CAA has cleared this aircraft for commercial flights.
