BISHAM: Six persons, including three women, were killed when a van plunged into a ravine in Levanai area in Shangla district on Saturday.
Muhammad Akif, a clerk at the office of deputy commissioner, along with his family members was heading to Levanai village in his van (4279) when it fell into ravine at Khwar Killay.
Muhammad Akif, his wife, four-year-old son Fahad, relative Shah Khalid and two women, whose identity could not be ascertained, were killed in the accident, said a police official.
Following the incident, the locals and police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital in Alpuri. District Nazim Shangla Niaz Ahmed Khan also reached the hospital.
Meanwhile, Member Provincial Assembly Shaukat Yousafzai, Advisor to the prime minister, Amir Muqam, Member National Assembly Muhammad Ibadullah Khan and Awami National Party leader Saidur Rehman expressed their grief and sorrow over the tragic incident.
