24 religious scholars entry to City banned

City District Government Lahore (CDGL) imposed a ban on the entry of 24 religious scholars of different sects, while a strict ban has also been imposed on 14 clerics in the jurisdiction of Lahore District.
A notification in this regard was issued here on Thursday by District Coordination Officer Lahore Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman. The officials said this step had been taken to maintain law and order and develop religious harmony among citizens during the month of Muharram.
According to the notification, the religious scholars, who have been barred entry in Lahore for the next 30 days include Muhammad Yousaf Rizvi, Moulana Ghulam Hussain Hashmi, Moulana Muhammad Yousaf Pasroori, Syed Ilyas Raza Rizvi, Allama Syed Sabtain Sherazi, Moulana Ubaid-ur-Rehman Zia, Moulana Aziz--ur-Rehman, Qari Abdul Hafeez, Moulana Abdullah Nisaar, Moulana Manzoor Ahmad, Moulana Ghazanfar Abbas Tonsvi, Moulana Muhammad Saeed Asad, Moulana Muhammad Ashraf Qadri, Moulana Muhammad Ashraf Mujadadi, Moulana Mansoor-ur-Rehman Usmani, Moulana Illyas Ghuman, Moulana Irfan Mashhadi, Moulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi, Moulana Muhammad Nawaz Boloch, Moulana Abdul Majeed Nadeem, Moulana Allah Bakhsh Chishti, Moulana Afzal Qadri, Allama Prof. Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi and Moulana Ali Baqar Naqvi.
The officials added that religious scholars on whom gagging ban had been imposed included Qari Muzaffar Iqbal Rizvi, Sahibzada Raza-e-Mustafa, Moulana Ajmal Qadri, Qari Shabeer Usmani, Qari Muhammad Ashraf Shakir, Pir Saifullah Khalid, Moulana Yousaf Rizvi, Abid Jalali, Moulana Lafit-ur-Rehman, Qari Rehmatullah, Moulana Muhammad Ahmad Mujahid, Moulana Mohib-ul-Bani, Mufti Fazal Ahmad Chishti and Hafiz Attique-ur-Rehman.
