Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said the N-League maltreatment with doctors has crossed all the limits since on seeing their rulers N-League workers also kept beating doctors as if they were their slaves.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, condemning in the strongest words, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said the N-League considered every public servant as their personal servants and slaves.
He said it was not expected from those who had been pulling the healers of the nation on the roads through police, resorting to baton-charge and violence on them, implying that they would provide protection to doctors or any other segment of the society from their "Gullu Butts’’. Fully supporting the demands of doctors, he said doctors should be provided such atmosphere and facilities in the hospitals that they could treat patients wholeheartedly and full attention. He said because of this policy, even senior doctors were returning home from abroad during our tenure whereas now every doctor wantd to go out of the country.
