KARACHI: A group of seven squash players will take part in the PSA men’s World Championship in Seattle, the United States, from November 13-22.
According to the entry list, the country’s top player Nasir Iqbal is in the main draw, while the qualification round players are Farhan Zaman, Danish Atlas Khan, Shahjahan Khan, Farhan Mahboob, Saqib Yousuf and Ammad Fareed.
The draws will be released on the 20th. “They have issued visa to Nasir Iqbal. Farhan Zaman is already in the US. The visa for Farhan Mahboob will be applied for soon. The other players have visas,” said Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) secretary Amir Nawaz.
It is to be noted that Pakistan had five representatives in the first round of the 2014 Qatar PSA World Championship for the first time since 2003.
Aamir Atlas Khan, a former world number 14, has not entered his name in the championship since he is not on good terms with PSF. He skipped the two PSA-25 events held in Pakistan recently.
