PESHAWAR: The Primary and Elementary Education Department has decided to upgrade 415 employees and a meeting of the Promotion Committee would be held today (Friday) to accord a formal approval to the promotions.
According to official sources, some 115 clerks would be promoted from BS-14 to BS-16 and they would be posted as assistants, while 300 junior clerks would be promoted from BS-11 to BS-14 as senior clerks.
It is worth mentioning here that the government has already upgraded the post of junior clerk from BS-7 to 11, senior clerk from BS-9 to 14, assistant from BS-14 to 16 and superintendent from BS-16 to 17.
Munir Khan thanked Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Education Minister Atif Khan for meeting the long standing demands of the clerks.
