KARACHI: Bollywood new film, ‘Talvar’ starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Irrfan Khan in key roles received excellent reviews from the critics. The film is being lauded for its performances and brilliant storyline.
Being considered not a typical commercial drama, the film took a surprisingly good start. Geo Films brings this film to Pakistan. The film has got the decent opening collection in domestic market. ‘Talvar’ has a good start at the box office. Despite facing competition from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Singh is Bliing’ and Kapil Sharma’s ‘Kis Kis ko Pyaar Karoon’, the opening day box office collection of Meghna Gulzar’s directorial film ‘Talvar’ is better than than those of several big budget movies released this year.
With limited face value and less number of screens (approximately 620 screens), ‘Talvar’ fared extremely well on its opening day. The film is backed by rave reviews and strong word of mouth, which will help its opening weekend box office to improve further.
Meanwhile, the distributors of the film received huge response for paid previews, following which a screening was arranged on October 1. “This would mark to be the first time that a small budget film would be holding a preview catering to public demand,” sources told.
‘Talvar’ is an investigative thriller based on the 2008 Aarushi Talwar murder case in Noida. The film features Irfan, Konkona and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles, while Tabu is in a cameo appearance. In today’s world, many incidences happen based on a true incident in India. It is a murder mystery thriller in which a teenage girl and her family servant were murdered. Eventually her parents were convicted for the murders.
