To promote the culture of skilled and technical education, Isra University has launched a project to provide the technical learning for students, says a press release.
Isra University, Islamabad Campus, in collaboration with Punjab Skill Development Funds launched project themed “Skills for Employ Ability 2015” aimed to produce a useful citizen who may contribute his share in the development of country.
Initially four different courses are being introduced by Isra Islamabad campus including programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Optical Fiber and Cable Splicing, CNC Machine Operator and Turner, while each course comprises on three month duration.
With this unique learning opportunity, the university has not only been providing free uniform and learning material, including books, notes and other guided stuff but also offering Rs1,500 stipend to each student.
Addressing the launching ceremony, the chief guest Professor Dr. Altaf Ali G Sheikh, pro-vice chancellor of ISRA University congratulated the passing out students of first badge.
Earlier, Tayyeb Hussain Malik, the project facilitator and deputy director of School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, ISRA University presented the quarterly progress report of the project.
Later, the certificates of project ‘Skills for Employ Ability 2015’ were also distributed among the successful students.
