JAMRUD: Fourteen suspected persons of coronavirus, including 10 men and four women, quarantined at the Qilla Quarantine Centre were declared Covid-19 positive patients after their results for the tests were announced on Thursday.
Sources said that 14 Pakistani citizens, including 10 men and four women, were quarantined at the centre soon upon their arrival from Afghanistan recently. They said more Pakistani citizens hailing from different parts of the country were also being kept at various quarantine centres in the Khyber district. The sources added that the 14 coronavirus were later shifted to isolation ward of the hospitals in the district for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Jamrud Additional Assistant Commissioner Aftab Khan raided Jamrud Bazaar and arrested over a dozen of shopkeepers and traders for violating the ongoing lockdown imposed by the government to contain the spread of fast-travelling Covid-19 in the area.The official asked the shopkeepers and traders to follow government instructions and close businesses and shops before 4pm.
