Over 538 arrested in Mardan for violating rules
MARDAN: All steps were being taken to implement the partial lockdown throughout the district, an official said on Tuesday. “Over 538 people have been arrested for violating the lockdown and the exploiting customers in different areas of the district,” Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Abid Wazir told reporters. Abid Wazir added that district administration had also sealed 206 shops for violating the SOPs and exploitation of customers in different areas. He added that the district administration also sealed two shopping plaza for violating the SOPs and also closed the unnecessary sections of different marts and shopping plazas. “The officials during checking in different bazaar of the district and other areas arrested these persons for violating the lockdown, lack of official pricelist or overcharging the customers and some of the traders were arrested for not closing businesses at 4pm,” he added.
