Induction of Maroof Afzal in FPSC hailed
ISLAMABAD: Maroof Afzal, an illustrious civil servant of Pakistan who has served the country at exalted positions in his outstanding service, has assumed the membership of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) at the end of his bureaucratic career where he will continue for the period of three years.
The induction of Maroof Afzal in the FPSC has been widely hailed by the Commission with fair amount of enthusiasm.
An officer belonging to prestigious Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) of its 15th batch attained superannuation as federal secretary of the Cabinet which was his last assignment where he continued for about three years. He was federal secretary for establishment earlier and interestingly he is among the rare top bureaucrats who had posting in both the coveted slots one after other as both the federal secretaries report directly to the prime minister. Maroof Afzal is known for his uprightness and scrupulousness.
