Cop tested positive with COVID-19
Rawalpindi: Head Constable Asif deputed at Racecourse Police Station tested positive with coronavirus pandemic.
After confirmation of COVID-19, the head constable has been shifted to quarantine centre while his family members have been put in quarantine at his home.
Following the report of head constable with positive coronavirus, SP (Pothohar) Syed Ali reached at Racecourse Police station and made ensure spray inside police station building under his own supervision.
All police officials deputed with HC Asif will also be tested for coronavirus.
Earlier, two traffic warden and Rescue 1122 personnel from Rawalpindi were also tested positive for COVID-19, who were under observation at quarantine centres. CPO DIG Muhammad Ahsan Younis said that police has been playing frontline force role against coronavirus adding that police department taking care of its officials with best available resources against coronavirus pandemic.
