Punjab govt’s notification: Medical college principals not allowed private practice
LAHORE: The Punjab government has directed the newly- appointed principals of different medical colleges Wednesday to submit undertaking in writing that they will not do private practice during their tenure as principals. According to the notification, these principals have been asked that they will have to abide by the government policy of institutional practice and will give up their private practice during their tenure as principals. They have been directed to submit undertaking on a stamp paper. The newly-appointed principals include Prof Dr Mukhtar Hussain, principal QMC Bahawalpur, Dr Zahid Kamal Siddiqui, principal Sahiwal Medical College, Dr Safdar Ali Shah, principal Kh Safdar Medical College Sialkot and Dr Tariq Ahmad, principal Sh Zayed Medical College RY Khan. Meanwhile, Dr Ambreen Anwar, professor of pathology PIC, has been transferred and posted as professor of pathology AIMC/Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
