2,064 FIRs registered since lockdown
LAHORE: Police have set up special pickets in different areas of the City to contain unnecessary movement of people.
Since beginning of the partial lockdown in the City, as many as 2,064 FIRs have been registered against persons involved in different violations.
More than 186,000 citizens have been checked at the police pickets so far. More than 175,470 persons have been issued warnings and asked to contain their unnecessary movement and go back to their homes.
More than 4315 citizens involved in unnecessary movement were release afterwards taking warranty bonds. As many as 164,000 vehicles, including 93,118 motorcycles, 24,493 auto-rickshaws, 4,632 taxis, 33,410 cars and 8,692 bigger vehicles, were stopped at the pickets and their owners were issued warnings for their unnecessary movement in the City. As many as 6,800 vehicles have been impounded on committing violations.
