Islamabad: The PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza inaugurated the Health Situation Room established in the Ministry of Health with assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO), whose Representative Dr. Palitha Mahipala was also present on the occasion here Tuesday.
“The WHO has been making significant contributions to strengthening of the health sector in Pakistan,” Dr. Zafar stated while thanking Dr. Palitha for establishment of the state-of-the-art facility that will enable hosting of meetings through video link and will serve as a source for dissemination of timely and accurate information. The Health Situation Room has a data wall with six independent screens, a media room, and a media wall for monitoring purposes.
“Transformational changes are being made in the health sector in consonance with the PM’s vision,” Dr. Zafar concluded.
