PHF to make changes to players’ training plan ahead of Ramazan
KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is set to make changes to individual training programs for senior and junior team players ahead of the start of holy month of Ramazan.
A PHF source told ‘The News’ on Saturday that the changes will be made in the diet plan and physical exercises keeping in view the requirements of the holy month, in which Muslims observe fasting.
The players are expected to receive the new training plan next week, before the start of the holy month.
After the Green-shirts training camp was halted due to spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the players were forced to train individually at their homes.
Before the postponement of the training camp, the Green-shirts had been preparing for the Malaysian hockey tournament, while the junior side was training for the Asia Cup 2020 and the Junior Hockey World Cup 2021.
