KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has extended the last date to file sales tax returns up to April 30, 2020, considering further increase in the lockdown period.
In a circular issued on Thursday, the board extended the date for filing sales tax returns for the month of March 2020 up to April 30, 2020, which is due on April 18, 2020.
Similarly, the provincial revenue authority also extended the date for the payment of sales tax on services for the month of March 2020 up to April 27, 2020, which was due on April 15, 2020.
Earlier, the Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) had requested the provincial tax authority to extend the date for filing monthly returns.
The tax bar said due to the ongoing lockdown for prevention of pandemic outbreak, the grant of date extension would help the taxpayers discharge their liabilities.
