Thieves held, five vehicles recovered

Islamabad: Golra police Islamabad police has nabbed five members of gang of car lifters and recovered five vehicle worth millions of rupees from them, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed assigned task to zonels SPs to accelerate efforts against car-lifters.

Following his directions, SP sadder Omer Khan constituted special team under supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHO Sub-Inspector Shabbir Ahmed along with other officials. This team achieved success and apprehended five members of an inter-provincial gang.

The gangsters have been identified as Osama sultan son of sultan resident of supply Abbottabad, Kamran sultan son of sultan resident of supply Abbottabad, Qari Ishfaq son of m Ilyas KTS, Haripur, Muhammad Sheraz son of Khan Afsar, Mohalla Joharabad, Haripur and Sajjad Abbasi son of Abdul Rauf resident of village Halli PS Khanpur, Haripur. Police team recovered five cars worth millions of rupees from them.

DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed have appreciated the performance of Golra Police Team. DIG has further directed the officials to intensify efforts to curb car/motorbike lifting incidents.
