ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan reacted strongly to PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto’s criticism of the federal government and said this was akin to playing with national unity.
In tweets, she said that everyone knew that decisions in the National Coordination Committee are decided through consultation and that chief minister Sindh is a member of this committee. “The people of Sindh are citizens of Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan is a defender of the rights of Pakistanis living in all the federating units,” Dr Firdous said.
“Mr Bilawal! the subject of health is in the jurisdiction of the provinces after the 18th Amendment while for more than a decade, your government has been in Sindh,” she explained.
She insisted that it was not a time to play and make political gains, as it was time to unite and to defeat the coronavirus by using all resources.
