On the directions of Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police, the central zone officer has conducted a special patrolling on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
In order to share happiness of the day, all the officers from the constable to inspector general participated in the special patrolling. Flowers, special gift hampers and chocolates were distributed among road users and children. During the especial patrolling, briefing sessions were held to ensure the smooth and safe journey for the road users while speeding and overcharging by the public and private vehicles were the main focus.
DIG Mirza Faran Baig instructed the patrolling staff to take legal action against the overcharging and overloading being done by the public and private buses and wagons alike. He also ordered the return of the extra fares to the passengers. DIG said that no one would be allowed to commit excess to the passengers on this auspicious eve of Eid. In case of any complaint, the road users are requested to contact on duty Motorway Police personnel or NH&MP Helpline (130).
