PESHAWAR: Member National Assembly from Chitral Abdul Akbar Chitrali has demanded the government to suspend Malakand Commissioner Riaz Mehsud and Lower Chitral Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed for reported violations of anti-coronavirus protocols.
Addressing a press conference, the MNA said that the under the directive of the commissioner, five people including women were gathered in a close space the other day in the name of ration distribution.
He said the administration was itself violating the section-144, which has been enforced in almost all country to contain the contagion. He said people were observing social distancing but the acts of the administrators of Malakand division and Lower Chitral encouraged the people to avoid social distancing and violate section-144.
