TANK: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) condemned violence against medical staff and doctors on Saturday.
Talking to media persons at Tank Press Club, PML-N district chapter president Dawar Kundi said that on the one hand, medical staff was being described as front-line soldiers while on the other they were treated with police baton charge. Kundi said that undoubtedly medical professionals were serving the nation and country by putting their lives in danger while the government was sending them to jails instead of providing them safety gear and other utmost needs for which they were protesting. That government was hoodwinking the masses in the name of so-called initiatives and relief operation, he added. He maintained after weeks-long lockdown across the country, life had come to a standstill while the people confined to homes were lacking basic amenities.
Kundi deplored that the government earned millions in the name of collecting relief aid from people. He said that the wheat and sugar crisis benefited the top brass of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He stated that people like Khusru Bakhtiar and Jahangir Tareen benefitted the most from sugar and wheat crises.
