The TEVTA in collaboration with a corporate enterprise will offer three demand driven courses relevant to the light engineering industry for the district of Gujranwala in particular and across the Punjab in general.
According to a press release, an MoU in this regard, has been signed. it has been decided to launch three new courses by the name of Machinist, Inject Moulding Machine Operator and Home Appliances repair. As a pilot project, 100 youth will be retrained at the TEVTA institutes in Gujranwala. Both parties shall jointly develop an annual calendar for the capacity building activities. The TEVTA will provide stipends to the trainees for three months.

PPP President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said the party had decided to constitute a Policy Planning Review Committee formulate recommendations in unison of the vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. In a statement, he said Senator Sherry Rehman has been appointed as coordinator to facilitate the constitution of the committee. He said that the Policy Planning Review Committee would formulate its recommendations keeping in view in the foremost the socio-economic development of the Kissan, labours, women and minorities that were the constituency of the party.
