A man was killed and his brother injured during a clash with their cousins over a property issue in the Quaidabad neighbourhood of Karachi on Wednesday.
Quaidabad police officials said that after receiving the information of the incident, the two brothers, both of whom were injured in the fight, were taken from Muslimabad’s Rehri Goth area to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
They said that one of the brothers, identified as 36-year-old Abdur Rehman, son of Attaullah, succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while his brother Naseem, 28, remained admitted in the hospital with critical injuries.
Police said that according to their initial investigation, the brothers were injured during a fight with their paternal uncle’s sons over a property issue, adding that the brothers were stabbed by their cousins. The suspects escaped.
