JHANG: As many as 77 pilgrims of the district have been shifted to the quarantine centre from Multan before sending them to their homes here.
District Health Officer Dr Naveed Safdar said that the samples of the pilgrims had been collecting and in case of negative reports of coronavirus, they would be sent to their homes. However, if the test reports came positive, they would be admitted to the isolation ward of the District Headquarter Hospital for treatment, he clarified.
He said that all required facilities, including quality food, healthcare services and security, had been provided in the quarantine centre established in a hostel’s building of the University of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
He said that all males, females and children were in good health condition and were honorable guests of the district administration. The DHO said that the isolation ward and high dependency unit of the DHQ Hospital were properly functioning 24/7 and the deployed staff had already been provided required equipment for their personal protection.
