Profiteers arrested,masks recovered

LAHORE:Continuing its crackdown on overcharging and hoarding, the district administration arrested two persons and recovered N-95 masks from them on Sunday.

Officials said the administration traced a gang, which was involved in getting almost Rs 1,200 profit on each N-95 mask in the City. They said two persons were arrested and a large quantity of masks was recovered from their possession. Meanwhile, officials found 2,000 fake hand sanitizer bottles in Walton area at two stores. Legal action was initiated against the shopkeepers.

Meanwhile, on the instructions of the district administration, various mega stores have installed anti-germs tunnels outside the stores and citizens have to walk through these while entering the stores.

ration: Lahore police distributed 200 ration bags in the Shahdara and Misri Shah police areas. According to the capital city police officer, 600 ration bags will be distributed in the areas of Hanjerwal, Chung, Sherakot police stations.

Similarity, 600 bags of ration were packed for the Factory Area, Shahdara and Misri Shah areas.

sealed: The district administration sealed a beauty parlour in the DHA area on Sunday. Officials said the beauty parlour was found open in DHA phase III and products were being sold and services were being provided to the customers there. Assistant Commissioner Marzia Saleem reached the spot, sealed it and initiated legal action for violation of Section 144 imposed by the district administration in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
