JI flays arrest

LAHORE:JI secretary general Amirul Azeem has condemned the arrest and one day detention in Sheikhupura police lock-up of JI leader Sheikh Muhammad Jameel, terming it a conspiracy to prevent JI from distribution of rations, masks and sanitizers. In a statement here on Tuesday, he demanded CM Usman Buzdar take notice of former JI district ameer and in-charge of mass distribution campaign for coronavirus prevention, Sheikh Jameel’s arrest in a fake embezzlement case and unlawful detention. He warned that if culprits were not punished then JI would be forced to stage protests against the government and police.
