PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) provincial president Humayun Khan on Tuesday accused the PTI government of nepotism by enlisting its own party office-bearers for relief package. Talking to reporters here, he alleged that the people were being deceived in the name of in the Coronavirus Tigers Force, saying the poor and deserving people should be included in the lists for relief package. The PPP, he said would not accept distribution of government relief package and supply of ration through the office-bearers of ruling party. Such distribution, he said, would deprive the deserving poor of their right in this difficult time. Humayun said the government had neither had any plan to provide relief to the poor. He said the PTI govt had no right to include party workers in lists. He believed that the PTI office-bearers would use relief fund for politics in their constituencies. The PPP leader said on one hand, the people were already facing price hike, unemployment and economic problems and on the other, the province was leading towards anarchy and fear due to coronavirus. He said the government was not serious in solving problems and providing security, education, health and job to the people. Also, Humayun Khan expressed profound grief over sad demise of Mir Javed Rehman and extended sympathies to members of bereaved family. Terming it a great loss to journalism, he said the services of Mir Javed Rehman would be remembered for ever in the history.
