As the deadly Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc in its wake, the world struggles to control its spread in vain. While the developing countries are at most risk, the most shocking has been the result of this contagious virus in the developed countries where the numbers of the affected are staggering with the US reporting the most infected people. Hospitals are overflowing with patients and helplessness is prevailing due to lack of medical supplies such as ventilators.
After the US, Europe has become the epicenter of the pandemic with Italy having no place to bury their dead anymore. It's a global catastrophe. However, the worst is yet to be come. The war-ridden countries of Syria and Yemen have no proper health facilities let alone basic hygiene. Same is the case in refugee camps where they do not have clean water supply and if nothing is done about it, the consequences will be horrendous. The world continues to battle the invisible enemy but it must also take the necessary steps to prevent the outbreak in these vulnerable countries as the outcome would be disastrous.
