Screening of pilgrims to be carried out
MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government and Rural Development Department would approach the ones who recently returned to the country from aboard and the Zaireen (pilgrims) and carry out their screening in order to contain the spread of coronavirus in the district. “The provincial government has tasked us to collect data of Pakistanis and pilgrims who recently returned from Iran, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world in all 194 village and neighbourhood councils in the district,” Abdul Rasheed, Assistant Director of the Local Government Department, told reporters here on Tuesday. He said his department was collecting data of these Pakistanis to screen them without any delay. “The village and neighbourhood councils secretaries would ensure data collection and screening of expatriates and submit this data with district administration,” said Rasheed. The sources in district administration told reporters that a total of 447 expatriates and Zaireen belonged to Mansehra district but 60 of them were missing.
