PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Mohammad Iqbal Wazir said on Tuesday that medical staff was presently serving at the frontlines to fight the coronavirus. He expressed these views during a visit to the quarantine centres in Miranshah and Mir Ali to review the facilities over there, said a handout. The minister said that Relief, Rescue and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) staff were also on alert 24/7 to deal with corona and perform duties on an emergency basis.
The minister was briefed by the staff of the quarantine centres and the Health Ministry officials.
The minister said on the directives of the chief minister over Rs1.73 billion had been allocated to tackle coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
