Officials decide to test 302 pilgrims who came out of quarantine
SUKKUR: The district administration Sukkur on Monday decided to test 302 pilgrims returning from Iran and Iraq again, who were being treated at the quarantine centre in Sukkur.
Reports said 302 suspected coronavirus victims being quarantined had come out of the centre to protest against the insufficient facilities on Saturday. The administration said those 302 pilgrims were shifted from Taftan border to Sukkur isolation wards on March 14 and when they were tested, some 151 were reported positive and were kept in isolation in Sukkur. However, on Saturday, the coronavirus positive as well as suspected patients jointly protested for the facilities in the isolation wards, so the administration has decided to test all 302 pilgrims again to prevent any transmission of virus to others.
