Kevin House, head of School Services Asia-Pacific at International Baccalaureate Organisation, visited the Roots International School (RIS), Wellington Campus, here, says a press release.
During his visit, Mr. House met with the school leadership, faculty, and management and IB students at Wellington Campus.
The leadership and faculty of the school had series of detailed meetings with Mr. House regarding the execution of the DP and PYP frameworks being implemented at the school. Mr. House was given a campus tour and briefed about the campus facilities.
The IBDP students got the opportunity to speak to Mr. House and share their personal experience of studying IB.
On the occasion, RIS CEO Walid Mushtaq emphasised the importance of IBDP and IB PYP. He said, “From a
child’s first moments of discovery in our early year’s programs, we take a holistic approach, nurturing the cognitive, physical and emotional well-being of every child. RIS sets highest expectations and the academic depth and breadth of the IB is unparalleled.”
He laid great importance on enriching the youth and making them global decision makers, as he disapproves
the classic classroom education approach and looks
forward to the “beyond
the conventional textbook style of education”, as he staunchly believes in prac-
tical experience of educating, empowering and enlighten-
ing the youth.
