Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab arranged a training workshop for chairpersons and members of District Overseas Committees (DOCs) regarding complaint web portal of the commission.
Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti, Vice-Chairperson Capt (R) Khalid Shaheen Butt, DG Khawaja Dawood, Additional DG Mobin Ahmed, chairpersons and members of DOCs attended the workshop.
The purpose of workshop was to familiarise the chairpersons and members of DOCs with OPC complaint system so that they could effectively play their role in the resolution of complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
Commissioner OPC while speaking on this occasion informed that OPC had developed a computer-based web portal where all the complaints were referred to the department concerned and were monitored electronically. He said that all chairpersons, members of DOCs had been given user name and passwords to access the complaints of their relevant districts. He said that overseas Pakistanis could contact through website or OPC helpline to redress their complaints. He said that DOCs could play a positive role for solving the problems faced by overseas Pakistanis and this workshop would increase their capacity in this regard.
Vice-Chairperson OPC Khalid Shaheen Butt in his address said that OPC was playing a remarkable role in providing relief to overseas Pakistanis. He lauded the efforts of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for designing a nice web portal for registration of complaints of overseas Pakistanis. On this occasion, a detailed briefing regarding complaint web portal of OPC was also given to the chairpersons and members of district overseas committees.
