LAHORE
A judicial Magistrate on Friday granted bail to two witnesses in the Zain murder case arrested in a separate case lodged by police on charges of concealing the offence of the prime suspect Mustafa Kanju, son of former state minister Siddique Kanju.
Mustafabad police had registered an FIR against Hussain and his father Zahoor under Section 213 of PPC after they expressed their inability to identify Kanju as the suspect during a last week hearing before the trial court, an anti terrorism court.
Meanwhile, the trial court fixed Sept 14 for cross-examination of both witnesses. The trial court in June had indicted Mustafa Kanju and six others on charges of killing 16-year-old orphan Zain and injuring Hussain, 18, in Cavalry Ground.
