Bacha Khan Volleyball tourney starts
NOWSHERA: All Pakistan Baba-e-Amn Bacha Khan Volleyball tournament started at Kheshgi village on Thursday.
A total of 24 leading teams of volleyball would participate in the tourney. The four-day tournament was formally opened at Kheshgi Sports Complex. Several local people and volleyball lovers witnessed the matches played on the first day of the tournament. The event is held every year at the village.
Awami National Party district president Jamal Khattak, ANP tehsil Nowshera president Zahid Khan, patron-in-chief of the tournament Khadim Khattak and chairman organizing committee Mohammad Abid and others were present at the inauguration ceremony. National and International volleyball players from Pak Army, Wapda, Air Force, Police and Punjab are playing in the tournament. The winning team will be awarded a cash amount of Rs 80,000 and the runner-up would receive Rs 20,000.
