Three people die in Steel Town road accident

KARACHI: Three people lost their lives during a collision between a Suzuki pickup van and a trailer in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town, on Wednesday night. According to police, the accident took place when a Suzuki pickup van carrying tomatoes collided with a speeding trailer on Gulshan-e-Hadeed. As a result of the collision, four people were severely wounded. Responding to information, rescuers from different welfare associations and the police reached the site and shifted the victims to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. However, three of them died on the way to the hospital. According to SHO Shakir Ali, the deceased persons were identified as Bilal Shah, Wahid Buksh and Yasin and added that the deceased appear to be vegetable vendors. The officer said that the trailer driver escaped, while the police have impounded the trailer. No case was registered while further investigation was underway.
