National Shooting Championship in April
KARACHI: The 27th National Shooting Championship is to be held in the first week of April in Jhelum. “The national shooting championship is being hosted by Jhelum in the last week of April,” said Javaid Lodhi of National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP).
The executive vice president of NRAP told ‘The News’ that they would also organise a national event for juniors in June or July. It is to be noted that Pakistan Navy defended the 26th edition of the championship in Karachi last year.
In the last edition, the shooters of Pakistan Army and Navy made 16 new national records in Rifle and Pistol categories. As many as 300 shooters took part in the championship in various Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun events.
Meanwhile, Sindh Rifle Association (SRA) is organising National Clay Shooting Championship from February 6-12. This event for seniors and juniors is to be held at PN shooting range Karsaz in Karachi in which teams from the four provinces, Islamabad, Army, Air Force, Navy, Airport Security Force, WAPDA, and HEC are to participate.
