Online computerised learner traffic licencebranch opens

FAISALABAD: The Online Computerised Learner Traffic Licence Branch has been established in the Tehsil Sammundri.

After establishment of the branch, citizens would be able to get a learner permit and after fulfilling the required conditions, they would get licence at their doorstep. The service could be accessed from the office of 15 located on the Gojra-Sammundri Road.

Meanwhile, Punjab Minister for Excise Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad inaugurated the branch on Friday. CPO Captain (r) Sohail Ch, Chief Traffic Officer Sardar Asif and other officers were also present along with local leaders of PTI and members of civil society.

The Punjab minister visited the licencing branch set up at 15 Office and reviewed the procedure for issuing the learner’s licence. He congratulated the citizens of the tehsil for the establishment of the branch and said that the government had fulfilled its promise.

He lauded the arrangements of the City Traffic Police in the branch and hoped that the staff would provide swift services to the applicants. He said that public service was the mission of his politics for which sincere efforts were being taken. He said that organised traffic was the hallmark of a civilised society and therefore it was the responsibility of all of us to follow the traffic laws. He announced that the Police Facilitation Centre would also be established at Sammundri soon. The CPO termed the issuance of a learner driving licence at Sammundri an important step and said that the district police believe in public service and the mission of rapid delivery of various services to the citizens. He thanked the provincial minister on special assistance and said that the driving licence would also be sent to the address given from the applicants.
