Six held in schoolteacher murder case

KARACHI: The District West Police on Friday night claimed to have solved the murder case of a schoolteacher whose body was found on Wednesday afternoon in the Korangi Industrial Area.
A police team arrested six suspects, including the fiancé of the teacher, Qurat-ul-Ain, who taught at Aminabad Montessory School in PIB Colony. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jawed Jiskani said her parented filed a complaint at the PIB Colony Police Station after she went missing on September 2.
The SHO, with the help of his team and the SDPO New Town, found that the woman was kidnapped and killed. Her body was found in Allah Wala Town, Korangi Industrial Area.
During the inquiry, it came to the notice of police that Qurat-ul-Ain came to school, as usual, at 7:40am and was contacted there by three individuals named Fiza, Sukaina and Baqar Abbas, who convinced her to go with them to meet her fiancé Manzar Abbas.
The three took her in an Alto car to a place known as Defence Lodges, 7th Street, DHA Phase 5, where a person named Haider got a room booked so the teacher could be murdered there.
In connivance with Haider, Manzar and Shakeel (a worker at the Defence Lodges rest house), the three kept her as hostage in the rest house and then Fiza with the help of Shakeel strangled her after tying up her hands and feet.
Fiza, Shakeel and yellow cab driver Jehangir Dashti later dumped the body in Allah Wala Town.
After the discovery of the body, it took the police 48 hours to solve the case. The police arrested six accused and lodged an FIR under Section 302 of the PPC.
SSP Jiskani said the arrested suspects nominated in the case by the family of the teamer included Fiza, who is a primary accused in the case who kidnapped and killed the schoolteacher, Shakeel who provided venue or room for killing her, driver Jehangir who disposed of the body, Baqar who kidnapped her and provided his Alto car for transporting the kidnapee to the Defence Lodges, Sukaina who convinced Baqar and Fiza to kidnap her, Manzar Ababs the teacher’s fiancé who hatched this conspiracy to get her killed with the intent to get marry his girlfriend Fiza.
